What’s new in Noosa on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast

It’s my favourite holiday spot, give or take few kilometres, and it’s probably yours too.

Want to know what’s hot and happening in your beloved Noosa? Wondering what new restaurants you will be able to explore or looking for somewhere new to stay?

Here’s 7 top tips -

Try a cocktail at Miss Moneypenny’s

Located on the Noosa Woods end of Hastings Street, Miss Moneypenny’s is the brainchild of acclaimed mixology master Ben Walsh.  The restaurant offers a smart cocktail and dining destination providing a salivating menu of liquid creations, along with a gourmet selection of sharing plates and Mediterranean home style inspired cuisine.  www.missmoneypennys.com.au

Go Italian at Locale

Rio Capurso of Lindoni’s fame (which closed earlier this year) has teamed up with Brent Ogilvie from Rickys to create Locale, a modern Italian trattoria. Located in the French Quarter on Hastings Street (that’s the National Park end), Locale is open from 11am for lunch, dinner and everything in between. www.localenoosa.com.au

It does exist - new affordable luxury on Hastings Street

#10 Hastings Street Boutique Motel & Cafe is a new build, boutique motel with seven studio suites and 2x2 bedroom apartments right in the heart of Hastings Street. There’s also a small cafe offering light food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. www.10hastingsstreet.com.au

French Sin's market stall at Noosa Farmers Market

Release your inner devil at French Sin

You’ve seen these guys at the Noosa Farmers Market and more but soon to open on Weyba Road, Noosaville, just a short stroll down from the Noosa Farmers Markets is French Sin, providers of authentic French delicatessen products and baked goods. Expect too-hard-to-resist delicious foie gras, mustards, confits and cassoulets, croissants, baguettes and all traditional French treats. www.frenchsin.com.au

Better than ever - Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa

Peter Kuruvita

Celebrity chef dining at Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita

One of Australia’s most acclaimed and well-regarded chefs, Peter Kuruvita has brought his excellence to Noosa with the opening of a new restaurant, Noosa Beach House Peter Kuruvita. Situated on Hastings Street, Noosa Beach House offers casual dining with an all-day dining menu plus a la carte lunch and dinner menu.  Look out for Peter’s special touches on the menu and try something new. The restaurant also features a private dining room for groups of up to 12 people and the Crustacean Bar where guests can enjoy the freshest mud crabs, lobsters and seafood.  My pick is the corner seat on the street-level bar where you can combine people watching with ultimate comfort.
