Bakery Lane Providore Market, Fortitude Valley

It’s easy to miss the small laneway leading off Brisbane’s busy Ann Street into the curve of Bakery Lane but that would be a shame.

Walking in to Bakery Lane has all the charm of a secret space with the old brick walls hinting at treasures inside.  A few steps inside and the narrow laneway expands into an open courtyard lined with interesting shops.

On the first Saturday of each month this space becomes a Providores Market with mix of goods for sale including Bee One Third Honey, fresh bread from Crust & Co Artisanal Baking, breakfast bowls from My Granola, Mapleton Falls Farms produce, Old Fashioned Co Handcrafted Syrups, and Raw Health Probiotics.

Make sure you find the laneway, which is located between the heritage premises of Apothecaries Hall and Bragg’s Baker, by looking for Lost Boys Café and The Beat on the opposite side of the road.
Bakery Lane is also home to I Heart Brownies and you’ll find it hard to resist their delicious heart-shaped brownies which come in flavours including choc mint, Turkish delight, peanut butter and jelly and good ol’ original.

There’s also men’s and women’s fashion stores and a designer plant shop that you’ll find hard to resist.

The Bakery Lane development has been designed to attract individuals or small groups in the innovative design industry. The spaces are suitable for commercial use as well as short to medium term residential accommodation within the one space. This allows designers to live and work within a creative hub in the heart of Fortitude Valley.

The Providores Market will be open from 9am to 1pm at 690 Ann Street, Brisbane.
