Top chocolate shops in Brisbane

If you are feeling the need, craving the bite or longing for the taste here’s where to go in Brisbane to find great chocolate.

You  haven't lived until you've bitten into a Dello Mano chocolate brownie - they take the world sublime to a whole new level. Owners Deb and Bien Peralta are passionate about brownies and are always coming up with new flavours to try.  Their brownies are so popular they are the gift of choice for visiting dignitaries and are shipped all over the world to people who just can't get enough of their chocolate fix.

Smooth, rich, creamy - it's everything you want from a chocolate and it's now at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre at Koko Black. With a range of premium chocolates backed by a cafe serving hot chocolate and chocolate-themed desserts, this Koko Black store has plenty to tempt.

I’ll take one mouthful of rich, velvety Belgian chocolate over a whole block of the supermarket stuff any day of the week so it didn’t take me long to beat a path to Couverture & Co at Red Hill.  Just a few doors away from super salad shop Botanica and Cockadoodle Café on Enoggerra Terrace, Couverture & Co is a first chocolate business venture for owner Jessica Brookes.

And just because you can have too much of a good thing - here's some balance.

Rivalled only by Valentines Day, Easter is the best excuse to eat more chocolate with the sound of that bunny hopping down the path with a big basket of choccie eggs music to the ears of chocolate lovers everywhere. It's also a little scary for the calorie conscious, diet watchers amongst us (me included) as it's so easy to indulge in this treat. Here are some tips on keeping the balance right.
