Arthur's Green, Red Hill

The vibe is relaxed and friendly, the food is interesting but familiar, parking is easy and it's child and dog friendly.

Located next to the Red Hill Bowls Club, Arthur's Green ticks all my boxes for a breakfast destination in the suburbs and I'm not alone. On a Sunday morning it was buzzing with families with kids, lots of kids, enjoying a perfect Brisbane morning.

If you are looking for somewhere quiet to work off a hangover or browse the weekend papers this is probably not the spot for you.  However it's perfect for anyone who likes their dog to be part of their weekend activities and families with children of all ages.

The menu contains all the dishes you would expect, from muesli and fruit salad to eggs bendict and avocado on sourdough.  Adding interest is a pulled pork toastie with cheese and gherkin and a dukka chicken burger topped with tomato, lettuce and paprika aioli.

It's well put together food with true, fresh and satisfying flavours.  Simple food, but the type you'll come back for.

Arthur's Green is brought to you by the same people who run Artie & Mai at Albion.  The space has been hived off from the bowls club and was first born as Kitty and the Bean.

It's an outdoor space with shade sails and umbrellas protecting the tables which overlook the bowling green so there's plenty of entertainment when a game is on.

There's a walking path and a dog park close by so the options are many.

Best tip: Best avoided on those really hot days unless you want a sun tan.
Bottom line: Price range from $6.50 to $15.
